Topic One: Open Project - Sept. 4th

For this project, we were asked to make a work that represented our general body of work. Since Graphic Design is my strong suit, I created a digital piece on Adobe Photoshop CC 2018.

PROCESS:

1. Deciding to use a picture of myself since the work was meant to be somewhat personal.

         2. Editing the picture and making it B&W to create a sense of nostalgia.

3. Selecting and cropping a part of the picture, then isolating it via copy in order to place a new layer under it. 

4. Creating an imperfect circular shape to place under cut-out part of the picture and adding text.

5. Figuring out best way to place text. 

6. Changing background color upon realization that the white background turned the photo into the protagonist of the piece, when the graphic design should be the viewer's focus.

7. This is my piece finished, printed out and hung on the day of the critique (Sept. 4th)
